Test Records

This document details the Test Records feature under the Laboratory management module in your HelloClinic system. This page serves as your central dashboard for tracking and managing the progress of all laboratory tests ordered for patients.

Feature Overview

The Test Records page is the operational hub for your lab processes. Unlike "Laboratory Services," which is used for setting price lists, this section compiles all actual, patient-linked laboratory orders.

Important Note: This page is primarily for tracking and management. You won't find an "Add Record" button here because test records are typically generated automatically during the Consultation process when a doctor orders laboratory tests for a patient.

The main uses of this page include:

  • Centralized Monitoring: Get an at-a-glance view of the current status of all laboratory tests.
  • Workflow Management: Easily find items that need follow-up (e.g., awaiting sample, awaiting report) by filtering by status.
  • Quick Search: Conveniently look up a specific patient's historical test records.

Main Interface Features

You can precisely find the records you need using multiple filter criteria above the list:

  • Year and Month Filter: Used to find test orders within a specific time range.
  • Search: Enter keywords such as patient name, test item name, or supplier for a fuzzy search.
  • Status: (Key Feature) This is the most important filter. You can filter based on the progress status of the test, such as:
    • Pending
    • Sample Taken
    • Report Completed
    • Patient Notified

2. Test Record List

All ordered laboratory tests are presented in a list format, containing the following core information:

Main Operation Workflow

Test Record Generation Process

  1. A doctor conducts a consultation with a patient in the Consultation module.
  2. During the diagnosis and treatment phase, the doctor selects one or more required laboratory tests for the patient from the pre-defined "Laboratory Services" list.
  3. When the doctor saves that consultation record, the system automatically generates a corresponding record on the Test Records page, with its initial Status typically set to Pending.

How to Track and Manage Test Records

  1. Daily Tracking: Clinic assistants or relevant personnel should regularly visit this page and use the Status filter to manage their workflow. For example, filter all Pending items to schedule sample collection, or filter Report Completed items to remind the doctor for review.
  2. Updating Progress: Once you've found the target record, click the corresponding icon in the Actions column on the far right to update the progress. Common operations may include:
    • Update Status: Manually change the status from Pending to Sample Taken or Sent for Processing.
    • Upload Report: When an electronic report (e.g., PDF file) is received from the laboratory, you can upload and attach it to the record.
    • View Details: View complete information about the test, including patient data and report results.
